Terms of Service — Journalify

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Journalify platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. The Service

Journalify is a multi-tenant cloud-hosted editorial workflow management platform. We provide it on a subscription basis, with availability targeting 99.9% uptime per month (99.95% on Enterprise).

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to content you create or upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process that content solely as necessary to provide the Service. We don't claim ownership; we don't sell your content; we don't train AI models on your content without explicit consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to publish content that's illegal in your jurisdiction, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or violates the rights of newsroom subjects (defamation, privacy violations). We reserve the right to suspend accounts that materially breach this clause.

6. Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified. Failed payments trigger a 7-day grace period followed by limited (read-only) access; after 30 days the subscription is cancelled. You can cancel anytime; refunds are pro-rated for unused time.

7. Termination

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. We can terminate for material breach with 30 days' notice (or immediately for serious violations). Upon termination, you can export your data for 90 days; after that it's permanently deleted.

8. Warranties + liability

The Service is provided "as is". We work hard on availability and security but don't guarantee error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Journalify against claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms. We agree to indemnify you against claims that the Service itself infringes a third-party IP right.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.
